I left corporate and never went back

Well, I didn't leave corporate per se, I was laid off and decided to not go back. After spending countless days, time, and energy trying to get back into the workforce, to no prevail, I decided my time can be better well spent doing something I actually enjoy doing and that's writing long form content.

I'm a huge advocate of every business, entrepreneur, solopreneur, online service provider, digital product seller, etc having content outside of social media that allows their audience to dive deeper into their niche/industry and into the creator themselves, whether that’s through emails, blogs, podcasts, online communities, YouTube, whatever.

Not incase a social media platform went down tomorrow (like what happened to TikTok), or your account got banned, but to share the real you. The one who may use slang, curse, emoji's and GIFs.

Often times, social media makes people feel like they have to be their perfect selves when in reality, we're all still figuring it out.

That's why I got into email marketing.

I get to dive deeper into my hot takes on Threads, sell my products, offer my services, and I don't get "punished" if I miss sending a newsletter for a week.

It was a win-win.

Gru from Despicable Me dancing

But after spending some time doing that, I realized I was doing the exact same thing as if I were applying for a job - trying to get people to notice (practically begging), how awesome I am vs me showcasing my awesomeness and they come to me. I no longer wanted to "sell" but create, share my thoughts, find my community, and make some money along the way.

So I built Logged In - a weekly digest where I can ramble about all things digital marketing like blogging, email marketing, SEO, social media, AI, etc, written for anyone - beginners, experts, and everyone in between who's tired of overly polished, SEO-only-driven content and just wants the real behind the scenes.

This is a space where people can gather and learn something new, share their own thoughts and opinions in depth outside of the quick thoughts and hot takes on social media, and help one another with new ideas, insights, and techniques.

So take a breath. Get a snack. Do a little dance and get logged in!
